In January 2027, Ricardo Ribeiro will bring his new album, ‘A Alma Só Está Bem Onde Não Cabe’ (The Soul Is Only Well Where It Doesn't Fit), to the Coliseu Porto Ageas on 29 January, in a show that marks the meeting between the purest tradition and the future of fado.
Ricardo Ribeiro's voice, ‘once heard, never forgotten’, is one of the unmissable names in contemporary fado. He began singing at the age of 9 and has performed at several fado houses, some of which he still visits monthly.
In 2023, he released ‘Terra Que Vale O Céu’ (Land Worth Heaven), an album that won the Best Fado Album award at the PLAY - Portuguese Music Awards 2024. In 2025, he released the single ‘Má Sorte’ (Bad Luck), which explores his different musical and cultural identities through the theme of duality.
With a voice that makes us face life and death in a single breath, Ricardo Ribeiro continues to make his mark between traditional fado and the future of the style.
