Beauty Despite Everything is an exploration of the spatial investigations developed by the architects Aires Mateus over the last twenty years.

It shows how certain spatial ideas have guided this duo, presenting ninety-one spatial representations that encompass intense changes in scale, material and tactile diversities, transforming this exhibition into a laboratory of physical, sensitive and beautiful experiences.

The parallel program starts from a careful observation of the exhibition and seeks to bring to the public a reflection on the influences of the architects Aires Mateus, their artistic intersections and new voices in the panorama of architecture in Portugal.

On April 8th, Magda Seifert moderates the conversation with Atelier SAMI, Cossement Cardoso and Ricardo Carvalho.
