This event is part of the Círculo Cycle, under the artistic direction of Mbye Ebrima.

When Portugal celebrates freedom, this project brings together artists from the Lusophone and African worlds in a unique dialogue through Afro-jazz. At the heart of the performance, the kora—an ancestral harp from West Africa, from Gambia—meets the electric guitar from Guinea-Bissau, the bass and percussion from Angola, the drums from Brazil, and the voice of a Portuguese jazz singer. A vibrant conversation between continents — Africa, America, Europe — woven from traditional melodies, improvisation, and Atlantic rhythms.
