Promoter: CELESTIAL ORDEM TERCEIRA DA SANTÍSSIMA TRINDADE

The joint ticket for the Experience Trindade – Porto and the MMIPO - MMIPO – Museum and Church of Misericórdia of Porto showcases a valuable religious, artistic, and social heritage, revealing the actions of two distinct orders that have left a profound mark on the community over the centuries. Two remarkable institutions of Porto, united by history, faith, and common benefactors, are now accessible with a single ticket.
Experience Trindade - Porto, located in the heart of the city, showcases the heritage of the Celestial Third Order of the Most Holy Trinity, founded in 1755, but with a history dating back to the 11th century. It carries out a mission of charitable, supportive, and religious rescue, while also contributing to the construction of Porto’s identity. During the visit, you can explore the city's largest church, the Order’s collection, and even climb the bell tower to enjoy a view of the city center from angles never seen before.
The MMIPO – Museum and Church of Misericórdia of Porto is located in the heart of the historic center, on Rua das Flores, in the building that served as the institution’s headquarters from the mid-16th century until 2013. Over the centuries, the building underwent several modifications, the most recent being its adaptation for museum purposes.
The Museum has a dual objective: to showcase the history of the Santa Casa da Misericórdia do Porto and its institutional mission, as well as to promote its art collections by providing resources that reflect the memory and identity of this organization, projecting it into the future.
A visit to the Museum is also an opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of both the past and present of this area of the city. The museum route includes the Church of Misericórdia, a 16th-century structure that underwent a major transformation in the 18th century led by Nicolau Nasoni, and the Gallery of Benefactors, a remarkable example of iron and glass architecture in the city.
