EVILLIVE FESTIVAL reinforces its 2026 programme with the creation of EVILLIVE WARM-UP, a night of concerts that marks the official start of this year's edition and will take place on 4 July at the Sala Tejo in the MEO Arena in Lisbon. Conceived as the inaugural moment of the EVILLIVE experience in 2026, the line-up brings together TRIVIUM and CAVALERA, two hugely prominent names in contemporary heavy music, and OKKULTIST, one of the most acclaimed emerging acts of recent years on the national heavy metal scene.
Leading the line-up will be the American band TRIVIUM, one of the most influential and consistent bands in modern metal. Led by the incomparable Matt Heafy, the group has built an exemplary career over more than two decades, marked by a unique ability to balance aggression, technical sophistication and enormous melodic range. With seminal albums such as ‘Ascendancy’, “Shogun” and ‘In The Court Of The Dragon’, the American group has established itself as an essential reference point for its generation, gaining a global fan base and maintaining a regular presence on the main international stages.
The evening will also feature a moment of enormous historical significance starring the Cavalera brothers, who will present the special show Cavalera Plays Chaos A.D., dedicated to one of the most influential albums in heavy metal history. Originally released in 1993 by SEPULTURA, Chaos A.D. undeniably marked a profound transformation in the language of metal, introducing new rhythmic approaches, greater conceptual density and an aesthetic identity that would influence generations. In this concert, Max Cavalera and Igor Cavalera will revisit this seminal album in its entirety, celebrating its legacy with the intensity and authenticity that have defined their career and reaffirming their role as central figures in the history of the genre.
Completing the line-up will be the Portuguese band OKKULTIST, one of the most relevant proposals of the new generation of Portuguese extreme metal. With a sound that combines contemporary aggression with a strong aesthetic and performative identity, the band has been progressively establishing itself inside and outside Portugal, gaining recognition for the consistency of its releases and the intensity of its live performances.
For all these reasons, the EVILLIV? WARM-UP on the eve of the festival reinforces the global dimension of the 2026 edition, which will take place on 5 July at the MEO Arena and will feature MARILYN MANSON and MEGADETH as co-headliners, in addition to performances by MASTODON, CONVERGE, THE GATHERING and IMMINENCE. Together, these two days of programming present a comprehensive portrait of the vitality and diversity of contemporary heavy music, bringing together historic names with some of today's most relevant projects.
