A unique experience at the Tapada Nacional de Mafra — a true off-the-beaten-path adventure.
In spring, deer naturally shed their antlers — bony structures that renew themselves every year. This is a rare and fascinating phenomenon, giving rise to a special activity, available only once a year.
The challenge is simple: explore the forest as a family and try to find fallen antlers. All collected antlers must be handed over for registration and study of the population. Later, they are put up for sale. This year, there will also be a raffle for one antler for every group of 20 participants.
The experience includes transportation in an electric car to the areas most frequented by deer, followed by an off-the-beaten-path walking route.
Arrival is mandatory at 9:45 am for all participants to meet before the start of the activity (10:00 am).

Wear comfortable shoes, long pants, and high socks.
