Gipsy Kings by Diego Baliardo return to Portugal in 2026 to present the "A Tu Vera" Tour 2026, a tour that celebrates more than three decades of an exceptional career and the songs that turned flamenco rumba into a worldwide phenomenon.
The concert will take place on 13 November at the Multiusos de Guimarães, promising an evening defined by infectious energy, emotion and authenticity, the qualities that have made the Gipsy Kings an iconic name in international music.
Led by Diego Baliardo, a founding member of the original Gipsy Kings line-up, this project preserves the essence that has captivated millions of fans around the world.
Born in the south of France and deeply rooted in Gypsy tradition and flamenco rumba, the Gipsy Kings gained international recognition during the 1980s by creating a distinctive style that blends influences from flamenco, pop and world music. The global success of songs such as "Bamboleo", "Djobi Djoba", "Volare", "Un Amor" and "A Tu Vera" established the group as one of the greatest ambassadors of Gypsy culture worldwide.
Throughout their career, they have sold more than 60 million albums, earned numerous Gold and Platinum records, and performed on some of the most prestigious stages across Europe, the Americas, Asia and the Middle East. Sung in Spanish and Romani, their songs continue to transcend borders and generations, maintaining a timeless appeal.
"A Tu Vera", which gives the tour its name, represents the spirit that has always defined the Gipsy Kings: joy, freedom, passion and celebration. More than one of their greatest hits, it has become a symbol of the power of flamenco rumba and of the emotional connection the band has built with audiences over the decades.
Today, Gipsy Kings by Diego Baliardo continue to bring this legacy to stages around the world, preserving the authenticity of the original repertoire while infusing it with renewed energy. The guitar harmonies, vibrant rhythms and the charisma of the Baliardo family keep alive one of the most remarkable stories in international music.
With the "A Tu Vera" Tour 2026, Portuguese audiences will once again have the opportunity to celebrate a repertoire that has spanned generations and continues to unite cultures through music. It will be a night of celebration, emotion and passion, where every song recalls the legacy of one of the most iconic bands in flamenco rumba.
